RIGIDITY and the MASSIVE amount of new clutch surface area are what you get, creating a 3-4 clutch pack comparable to nothing else available. The input housing itself is machined and threaded to accept the threaded 6061 billet aluminum end cap (nearly 7″ diameter fine thread) which is then retained from spinoff by the 5 allen set screws provided. The inside of the drum being machined larger, allows the larger diameter clutch pack to be installed. By making the top cap of aluminum, further helps shed the dreaded heat from the 3-4 clutch pack better than steel. The kit utilizes 8 custom Raybestos GPZ turbo 350 frictions, custom bottom pressure plate and 8 steels that have an increased outside diameter. The steels are ( .090 ) thick so there has been no compromise fitting more clutches in the drum by having to install paper thin steels that get hot, can’t shed the heat and warp. The larger steels equate to more steel mass as well, further aiding in heat dissipation. If you choose to reinstall load release springs, provided are 5 new recalibrated springs.
